Do Grilled Vegetables and Meat taste better cooked over seasoned wood?

12-28-20 UPDATE
Delfino has run out of Firewood for the 2020 season.

Do Grilled vegetables and Meat taste better cooked over seasoned wood? Yes, seasoned wood improves the taste of grilled vegetables and meats. Many folks begin craving the aroma of an outdoor grill this time of the year.  We are a Houston tree service provider, and are often asked firewood related questions. A common one is What kind of vegetables grill well?

Many of our Houston, Texas customers have stated Eggplant, Zucchini, Yellow Squash, Tomatoes, green onions and more are all improved in flavor when prepared over a wood flame. Our cut logs are split and ready for use in your fireplace, pot bellied stove, wood burning oven, outdoor chimenea, smoker, barbeque bbq pit, and more. When grilling meat or vegetables over this wood, it adds a rich flavor which is hard to naturally replicate.  Subscribe to our blog, and tell us which vegetables you like grilling best. You can join at  www. houstontreeremoval.blogspot.com/
It's free, and we encourage your productive comments to continue the conversation.

What meats do best grilling outdoors? Many of our customers have said the flavor of pork chops, steaks, beef ribs, chicken, turkey, sausage, hamburgers, hotdogs, and even pineapple taste better when grilled over a wood flame.  If you're looking to cut back on your gas, electric utility bill, our seasoned wood could help.

What is the importance of Firewood being cured, seasoned or dry aged? This is a great question, and one we're asked frequently. Simply put, think of a paper towel. Picture one soaking wet, and another one dry out of the package. Which is likely to burn longer and cooperatively? So, think of fresh cut green wood as a wet paper towel. Cured, seasoned or dry aged wood has been essentially dried post cut for several months. It's essentially a dry paper towel and ready to burn slowly, and without any troubles.

For the record, we are social distance trained, and offer a contact free experience. We've even dedicated a covid-19 page to further explain.

Have a great day,
